Good morning, good afternoon, good evening and welcome to the official Dom J radio show Yeah, on this episode I'll be speaking with an oil and gas industry expert on what we can expect for the rest of the year from that market give my review on Jordan Peele's latest thriller Note and of course the thought of the week be sure to like share and subscribe to official Dom J radio on Spotify apple podcast or wherever you get your Podcast what's good official Dom J radio listeners? It's your boy agent Jerry stopping about to let you know Dom love podcast man In entertainment one of the more fun events I recently attended was the note movie at a dinner movie theater In so far as the movie experience in that aspect of it I thought Kiki Palmer stole the show from an audience comedic perspective She really brought the laughs and you know almost thought she was gonna get a standing ovation from the very beginning people Just so excited to see her on the big screen again So I thought that was obviously a great casting aspect there Daniel Kalua as well nailed that whole how I feel it was a reserve Expressionist role and I thought by today's standards. It was a great thriller movie and to really hit that marker I feel like they don't need to show gore I know gore is sort of its own category when we're talking about scary movies and thrillers But some thrillers really skirt that line about you know the suspense therein or is it thrilling enough in so far as being carried by The protagonist and antagonist relationship there. So I saw an interview with Jordan Peele where he was discussing Essentially the ability or the need to rather have the audience and their imagination be allowed to run rampant and how that's truly the most Terrifying thing imagine I thought that was enlightening because it's true It's the difference between I was you know, even on the furthest or describe when you see the monster on screen like after they've been revealed It's something like that.
It's less Oh, okay, you know, I'm still as terrified more so as it okay I can put a face to it if you will sort of get a better understanding of you know what it is that's chasing and terrorizing everybody versus that's Suspense that's truly built from not seeing this person or this entity for quite some time I want to get it to any spoilers or anything like that So if you haven't seen it you should have been seen it especially if you park the culture in that sense man Which waiting on definitely worth going to see took my wife and little sister We had the whole dinner theater experience which I thought was pretty fly So I'm not having done too many times. I've done it over the years just here and there But you never know what you're gonna get with it the next theater experience But I thought the movie nine out of ten one of my favorite people imaginable died And so for that reason I couldn't get the full ten out of ten even though I didn't so I might see that's just me being petty and From the dinner movie perspective definitely a ten out of ten man So definitely shout out to the movie grill experience there good food and a good movie is definitely hard to be If you're trying to get drunk or have desserts to really top it off at an extra layer They can satiate and satisfy that need as well So if you haven't seen no definitely go and check that out and if you have already How did you feel about the movie what we thought on it? Are you a Jordan Pio fan? I know some people despite the man's success, you know may not be in the thriller movie So it may not be for you, but if you've seen it, let me know what you think On today's episode of the official Dom J radio show I'm honored to have one of my closest brothers from another mother joining us a Gentleman that is an engineering expert in the oil and gas industry a connoisseur of all the finer things life has to offer and a second Amendment enthusiast like myself Christopher Reynolds aka Billy D Williams.
How you doing today, bro? Hey, man, thank you for taking the time out of us got to be here to join us on the show today But I know you just celebrate our birthday We were talking before you know before we recording and after how how'd your birthday go happy belated man mini blessings to you and a family I Know The first thing I can tell you is that we really should be surprised about gas prices and where more I mean even if we're not shooting shells off the coast of Florida anything we wear in a position to wear a busher One of the largest oil and gas producers is kind of shut off in the rest of the world And so it's about the best guy to entire Industry and they're trying to compensate so your rates are going up everywhere across the world and pretty much trying to figure out how to meet the Man was such a large chum missing. It's kind of its own little pandemic for oil We can't really look at what it is that we're doing here to try to find some blame for that I mean as far as your major oil and gas companies in the United States a lot of them are basically I know they talk about some of these companies have massive profits and you know, that's not that's not anything I'm heard of with oil and gas When they take those profits how much they put it back into the business for they have to increase production Way that they've been doing these past you know two years because they do a lot of stuff off right now Exactly They're bringing all this is a process right back into the business and that means they have to run all of their units at match rates They have to gather as much crude as they can from some unconditional areas around the world And they have to process it twice as fast and for them to do that So even though we're seeing as an increase in process that doesn't necessarily mean that everybody's taking a pretty case cash Oh, you know That's it like I hadn't thought about that but it makes sense I feel like everything else has sort of been tied in the whole job situation the supply chain issues So it would make more sense than that having a war and having a big supplier in that industry like you're saying not be a participant That's causing this sort of you know trickle-down effect if you will fucking domino effect for lack of better terms And you said right there is the fact those businesses they decided they wanted to play a big server for the pandemic happened and then once the pandemic ended, you know They went through truck, you know, they held that a lot of businesses Projects they held back a lot of projects and they didn't spend the way that they needed to but then once production had picked up Once there was a lot more traveling once people back on road Once concerts and shows and and holidays for all back full effect everybody wanted to get back on roads You talked about the band kid a pretty high point at a pretty quickly Pretty quick and well and what happened about it. We have all this man We have to figure out how to give to us And once that down the road Got to position a day with a and they shut off their okay It's just all one big thing and it comes to what you do with the petrol dollar It is a global it's not American thing.
It's not gonna swing the things not any individual nation Like Saudi Arabia's thing else. It's all one big package together Yeah So there's really with it being a war essentially and that being a critical component of it There's really no I feel like definitive end in sight I mean is that is that a reach by saying that because I know they're like pandemic is over to certain degrees in a certain ways But it's not technically over it seems like it's rolled into an inflation slash recession simultaneously And so with the war outlook is it just gonna be more the same in that that capacity So Actually a little more Right there that we are not So I mean it's it's the sort of tilting scale I feel like kind of going back and forth to a degree We're sort of just having to ride the wave because like I said, it's not a isolated incident as much of it is a global Incident being in the missile award ultimately just has to complicate that another degree or two or three We will see They want to make sure that they're able to make the money that they can make it long term and continuously reinvested a business So, you know, they can turn those house profits years down a lot Right basically turning out as much as they can to do anything short-term is absolutely Looking at the next To Look at it they are I Can't Know it's a great point I find myself thinking of myself as a business as Jay-Z would you know suggest everyone should I'm not a businessman I'm a business In that sense, I find one of the ways I do myself that favors my stand my ass at the house as much as possible I find out if you leave the house, it will get expensive on you Imagine I've seen some screenshots, bro. I'm on that 89 most times even though I just got the new whip boy Oh boy at the peak of all of this maybe a month and a half or so ago I was feeling feeling like I was getting robbed it was about the having on some steam as behavior, but I digress things Things have since digress and calm down a bit there But you brought up a good point the whole shift to the clean air or alternative energy initiatives How does that sort of play into the petroleum side of because I know you're saying like they have a sort of I feel like Advantage and jumping on that what feels ahead of time even though it's probably and most realistically behind the times if you will For let's say the next five to ten years I know everybody's got a number of initiatives they've kicked off since the president sort of put his own out there for you Know a certain duration of people can meet it by 2030 or something crazy like that So how does that sort of impact where we are now? Well, I guess first thing I'm gonna get that disclaimer again.
I am not a political affiliation It's not Well blue or red time that comes to this yeah, I do everybody because you said when it comes to the Market that we have here in this country and around the world we don't want to force things Things have been more naturally as they have the naturally a certain people make decisions say whether they're at the dealership looking to buy a Lot of vehicle for a V8 517 any The end of the day we can't force that decision because if we do we're going to see some some irregular offsets in the market I'm going to I will start digging ourselves to be the whole so it comes to that politically Hey, we guess we want to ensure that the transition is smooth. That's right make sure that as we do this That don't shoot ourselves I think that's a very proper time to say right now We don't shoot ourselves before being that as we do transition to this that we make sure that we do it the way It's supposed to be done and that literally means that every individual that wants to do it or the two dealerships They're looking at the Tesla dealership and we use the Tesla as an example But yeah, what's happening is that Tesla was used as a major company to to set off the easy market and it's done So it's not so effective and I was got a couple champions that arise around it that are becoming very effective even companies, but our top I don't think that's right now. They are in the position where they can push out their election vehicles Yeah, we saw Chevy produce Chef Spartan see whether vehicles that you know They're kind of hit very specific markets They want the vehicles everybody wanted as people are recognizing whereas the industry recognizing that people are going to the dealership And they're making more choices. It allows them to introduce the vehicle today I'm a bad for a while This is not a guy to figure out I'm over these things because I don't think it's they want to keep making money while terms right there on the five-year plans With these roll-ups they can start producing or they can start presenting these vehicles that they had you know on the drawing more for a while and they can allow people to make a conscious decision But if our government feels that they want to all this course by giving say an old saying we're gonna have all these We're gonna have the electric vehicle that you're trying to cut that's not the safest thing to do Yeah, it's gonna happen is that you want to have a resistance in the market the supply would be there to the man They're not you're gonna have people that refuse never had a conversation So I'm gonna help drop the Tesla because I like the feel of the other I just like the feel It's still exists.
If you attempt to force it, it's gonna happen is that you want to give a large amount of supply The man without me there The other things I love people don't talk about when it comes to an EV is that the amount of corded footprint It takes to produce one electric vehicle with guidance at all It takes about five years of a gas and that's an engine to work The general lifespan of vehicle actually will be able to make five years right or hundred twenty thousand miles After that, it's our mother carbon footprint of that one EV vehicle coming out of the assembly line is a quizzle It's a five years of the muscle and which it runs So that means that if you had all this up Put four billion EV vehicles out of the margin it's equivalent to five years of through a billion Give us more engines there in a field of need It's a huge carbon footprint and it's something that we have to figure out how to talk to say for Let's talk about What's your gravity? It's not a productive time. Baries are expensive to So it's the price factor of the and the carbon footprint that we have to recognize It's at the first is we're gonna push a lot more carbon I was the industry Out to the world Don't know what's supposed to do That's not good And that's ironic when you're thinking of the switch from like you're saying the whole gasoline movement to an alternative Energy source if it in the route to trying to make that the status quo it shits on the environment I doubt that's how they envision that project playing I mean look we're very young with this alternative fuels It is something that the world wants to do The oil and gas industry are trying to get We've heard that Chevron and Exxon and all that We're starting to slow down the oil exploration of looking for alternative fuels We're hearing these things from them They have to be like years ahead to be able to make sure they continue to make their profit And we do understand that the world is actively searching for alternative energy We have to recognize right now the solar panel Two years ago versus right now It's not even close to being a site You have a lot more efficiency a lot more effective That's the way it is What happens that massive amount of industry decided to get into this Including companies like Tesla These Tesla solar panels are These things are in fact the difference in compared to any kind of solar panel that they've had through The efficiency is so much greater Without it we're looking at being able to I guess master solar First thing is that I'm gonna go over to get to that point And it's making it a little more effective to be able to use it It's no expensive so non-standardizing it We're looking at being able to transition the effectiveness of solar It's an instrument where it actually becomes a reasonable thing Both on the carbon footprint side and the price side So you can be able to get solar and use it effectively to push energy back into the market Because that's what happens when you get into solar But now we're doing that It's making solar an effective way to be able to use all the time to fuel for our advantage Can't really say that for one power yet Because turbines are just a little pretty They won't be pushed out of a bird I can tell you that, yeah, yeah These things run into a bird is not gonna be nice And these blades are produced And the material that they are You can't really be cycled to well So we're talking about landlills that top over these things If they don't become what they don't produce What they're supposed to produce But they're the last man or whether that So now we're talking about potential loss But these things don't produce energy So there's one power over X amount of time What they're saying is that it doesn't mean we should be much at wind power It just means we have to figure out how to make a ball effect And the same thing with how to power Same thing with what else we have out there I think nuclear is very cool I mean, it's tough Yeah, I also say I just saw on TikTok Not to just sort of cut you off there But a water powered engine I don't know why that was like a mind-blowing concept to me But I feel like something that if the wrong person creates that And then picks up any sort of momentum of steam We're gonna find that person R.I.P. Shortly thereafter, it seems like Hey, so look, I'm definitely not going too much I am saying at the end of the day What I've seen and heard about these engines The room they're doing, it sounds amazing And it really does take on pioneering type of I might just say individual, I don't know what type of person But a business to be able to perfect this And skyrockets into the future now But one thing that I do know about Anything that's water powered Is that we do want to make sure that Corrosives and things like that Say out of the system So when it comes to that, it's a Purity type of factor And usually when it comes to purity We have to ask ourselves how effective Would an individual be preparing that?
And can you standardize the technology To where it becomes an effective thing that you can use? Right, your average joke If it breaks down, it has an issue It could repair it in that sense, yeah And if they can't, well then What's the cost of XYZ company Taking that service off of the average Because they're pants So I mean, don't give it well I love the idea of it I haven't really done a lot of the You know, mechanical, total system I haven't done too much of that research But from what I have looked at, these things are impossible It's just more the standardization of it And the overall maintenance, whether that's something That you actually have Now look, I hope that I'm playing That somebody, whether you are on bus Or maybe you're like black version that's something That's something that comes along Somebody from us Yeah, somebody tries to take on this technology And be able to figure out how to put it out Because the thing is that if there are water powered engines If there are, I use high powered engines The thing is that's the way not to be type of water that you're using Right, right Sometimes with the ionized water Something that you know would be able Would burn a little cleaner And then just warm, right Boil it with the idea that it's way But it's going to do something like that We need to figure out how to put it out in the market And the one thing I would say, because it's a conspiracy The weather When it comes to us as human beings That has TikTok, that has Instagram, that has Wikipedia That has unlimited access to this wide world of internet And let's get so close together and figure this out Like I'm all over the office and so on I say, I always should have loved that And let's get out of the shoe and just get some Some young scientists that really want to tackle this And see how they can bring this to the market That's what's most exciting to think about All this alternative field things That there's unlimited options Come on down as one's very exciting No, man, I'm here for it I think that's the best thing about the continual On the low pushing if you will There's just continuing to look at alternative options Never thinking about there's just the one way of Doing it and this is the way it has to be It just is really like you're saying Getting the backs and the minds behind it To make it easier for You know, again, a large consumer base So whatever that would look like I would love Love if our alma mater took their hands on something like that But regardless, I'd like to see it come to fruition Just for the sense of I feel like it's Way of propelling things forward So, hey, that's Without crashing a market or trying to force everyone to do it Let's at least get to a point where we know the research Does it sound as it could be for your average growth Then say, all right, well, let's start rolling these vehicles up The one thing is, it's kind of like we were just talking about It's really gonna take a combination of these things I don't think there's gonna be one solid alternative We do like to think batteries might do that In some sense, but you know, Because that's the efficiency of a battery That is a long term, you know, that's gonna take a lot of trial and error And it's gonna be something that will take years to be able to make sure that we expect When I'm talking about that, I mean, something in lines of space There's some variations of lines of A lot of blow ups like NASA Yeah, but I was not repeating any of those problems That's not mentioned, you know, but it's more the fact that You know, it's going to take folks to get out there To really figure these things out To test them and to protect them And I said, I'm not the biggest you want from us, man But I will say people like you, people like Jeff Bezos He's billionaires that decided to spend their money On specific types of innovations in the world I don't know how to function on them Because, you know, we're not paying Amazon people The relation that we think they should be adding But they are the investments that They're their their functions into something that is going to actually Supposed to be sufficient through the world over time And I know we sometimes we decided that Because sometimes we got to think about what's right in front of us But the rest of us are here to do that You know, I encourage people if you feel some kind of way about So I am wrestling a couple of hundred billion into a space exploration program Well, hey, let's get a couple of weekends to do a something that you have with the ocean You know, and I sat and talked with people that do that I sit and talk with people who talk about the major issues that we have I'm not gonna go, I am all excited about space exploration But I do understand that we've got to discover less than 30% of our emotions And then I shall think it is much less than that That's what's my brother around 10 to 15, I imagine I always feel like a very miniscule number for being present in 2022 Yeah, a very small amount of our emotions we've been able to discover And it's not that we're not working on this stuff It's just not what we're talking about, you just see it in our prom suits Whatever they talk about is our watching on these things Right, that's real man Well, I appreciate you stopping by the showman and dropping some gin But think ultimately, I feel like it's Like you're saying, in the consumer's hands There are a number of alternatives to Not only be interested in but to get behind and seeing How can I be a part of the movement? How can I advance it further in any small manner And so really just finding which one is the one you think would be best And sort of making that maneuver for the next vehicle It won't be me doing it any time soon Because I just got that big truck that big thing last year So that's what I'm working on for the next few years But overall, I can definitely support the movement And see the use of the alternatives there man But where can the people find you man? What's next for you bro?
That's the thing, we'll be seeing pretty soon I've got a few things out of my belt Or I'll do it in my vehicle I haven't decided to fully expose yet But I put it this way I need to make it sound like it's a movement Because I think that's the kind of way I'll be going with this conversation But it's like I really want this next generation of folks man I'm gonna take Be a young and black in this country It's a blessing right now I know people say that shouldn't be But when I say it's a blessing I mean that we have more freedom to interact with each other at this point Young black folks in this country have such a blessing to be able to do so With the amount of resources that they have in their fingertips No generation of us in this country before have had that ability to do so Let's take that power as far as it can and let's do so for the future Let's be extremely productive for our people and for the rest of the world Which is a lot of people as well It's something that's important And you don't see me out there doing that stuff And I'm a being public school I'm a being out of conversation with you I'm a being focused again Not just the LSU team you I'm a big fan of What's the good lives like universities? I want us to put some of our kids in there And also I'm not just talking about college as well We need to get some of our kids in some of these trade schools We need to teach some of these young black folks how to be able to make money And be able to enjoy their lives And not just label away that situation That seems like they're almost dead Because I'm gonna tell you Not over there I can drink Not almost dead at this point Hey man that's real talking I think a great point for us to wrap on right there That old American dream is dead on Dead ass, dead-ed However you want to phrase it for the next generation It's all about innovations I'm here for it Definitely here for it Well Chris man again Thank you for your time today Thank you for stopping by the show And we'll definitely obviously be in touch Because we fuck with each other in real life One of my closest compabes, my partners But again thank you for stopping by the show Man I really appreciate you dropping jewels on us Alright man thank you for having me man Yes sir remember Beacuse in your hands Someone saying hi thanks Just on all your questions The thought of the week for this episode is just this Finding alignment It's never a purely lateral move Instead it varies like the macro The universe at large Like constellations at stackers I felt this even in periods of life That seemed to stand still I feel well grounded We're looking at it from disrespecting Writers right Editors edit If I as I found myself in moments Overspend my time editing Instead of writing I'm out of alignment An excuse for delays of sorts But it's one where you're better off Trying to refine it Hire the editor If as an editor you focus on creating script Content instead of editing You're being a writer And that's just the relative points That I found it for myself So in whatever field that you truly Pursuit Just make sure that you're finding alignment That could be personal That could be professional Because if you think about it And that's something that I've grown To understand as I've gotten more in tune With my own body Trying to stretch and do yoga Which is something I would love to commit to But don't have the patience Or the want to In all the times to really Engage in it with a level of consistency But it's one where I find When I do have periods of You know focus yoga Or at least of the efforts To try and have it Because the wife It's so keen on it I find myself in those moments Understanding my body more Feeling where I'm out of alignment If my back Feels a certain way when I move To the left Or to the right Or if I'm stretching And I feel like I don't have full Rotation and a limb Or on my neck Or something of that It's easier to see in those parts Because again That's recognizing oneself Out of alignment Resentering and resetting I find to be The times that are so key That help I feel like make What could be bigger situations Not as cumbersome It means being able to contain Or as some like to see Compartmentalize And I think that's a different way Of finding that alignment in a sense Of continuing to grow And be able to put things In its proper place in context Finding alignment can be a journey And I think that's a part of the Bigger scheme Or however you'd like to think a bit Because again it's from the macro Perspective and just applying it At a more micro level to oneself It takes Some compassion Have to be compassionate to yourself There are going to be these speed bumps There are going to be these moments Where you're clearly Not where you're meant to be And sometimes Those are the moments that can cause us Most but They can also be our greatest learning Experience and opportunities And so again that's in the sense Of not taking every L Just purely as an L But taking it as a lesson Finding moments where you may feel Like you're in your lowest valley But finding that it can often be The same moment in which you feel a blessing Because you know what's around the corner You've been here before Nine times out of ten If you've been where I've been And you realize the sun Shall rise again So continue on that journey Continue trying to find A light Thought of the week And just like that Episode 35 of official Dom J Radio is in the books A special thank you to my guests My brother from another mother Christopher Reynolds AKA BILLY Williams Thank you for
