EP36: Should You Go Geo-Bachelor?

Choosing to live apart during a PCS can sound practical, even responsible, until you add up what it does to your marriage, your parenting, and your spiritual life. We sit down as friends and spouses and take the geo-bachelor question head-on, defining what we mean (a true accompanied move where you choose separation anyway) and why we believe it’s almost never worth the trade.We walk through the most common reasons military families consider it: kids in middle school or high school, big activities and commitments, comfort in a current town, nearby family help, and dread of a new duty station with a bad reputation. Then we push deeper into the questions that actually matter: Why do we want this? Are we chasing convenience, avoiding conflict, or masking marriage strain?
