Unter der Regie von Felix Binder, Vanessa Jopp und Sebastian Sorger drehte Marcus mit den zusätzlichen DoPs Claire Jahn und Steven Priovolos beeindruckend konsistente Looks in unterschiedlichsten Welten und Motiven. Ich sprach mit Marcus über herausfordernde Produktionsländer, tolle Verwandlungen und seinen immensen Respekt für die Hauptdarstellerin Malaya Stern Takeda. Unter der Leitung von Showrunnerin Jana Burbach enstand mit „Parallel Me“ eine Serie, die man hierzulande selten findet. Inhaltlich herausfordernd, darstellerisch exzellent und von einer Bilderflut zur nächsten springend. Seit dem 26. April ist &#8222;Paralle Me&#8220; auf Paramount+ abrufbar. DoP Marcus Kanter ersann gemeinsam mit Hauptregisseur Felix Binder das visuelle Konzept für die acht Episoden und drehte selbst sechs davon. Wer möchte das nicht? Einmal ausprobieren, was wohl andere Entscheidungen für den eigenen Lebensweg bedeutet hätten. An einem ganz unterirdisch verlaufenden Silvesterabend findet sich Toni Falk (Malaya Stern Takeda) ohne Job, ohne beste Freundin und losgesagt von ihrer Familie zwischen Umzugskartons in ihrer Storage Unit wieder. Da drückt ihr die geheimnisvolle Ariadne, gespielt von Maria Schrader, einen Wollschal in die Hand und eröffnet ihr, sie könne damit andere, mögliche Lebensstränge kennenlernen. Die verdutzte Toni stolpert so in die Konflikte und Chancen paralleler „Tonis“. Und findet ganz langsam heraus, was ihr wirklich wichtig ist – und woran es hapert, dass sie das nicht kriegt. Wiedererkennbarkeit Bei allem, was derzeit so für die Streamingdienste in aller Welt produziert wird, ist es schwer, originelle Stoffe zu finden. Was Jana Burbach da für Paramount+ entwickelt hat, steht zu jeder Minute auf eigenen Füßen. Der Plot des Reinschnupperns in mögliche Parallelleben gehört seit Charles Dickens „A Christmas Carol“ zu den spannendsten Erzählmustern. Denn er ermöglicht innerhalb kurzer Zeit viele sehr unterschiedliche Ausformungen der Erzählung, vor allem im Visuellen.
