I know it's hard. You feel alone...a lot. Probably more than you admit. You laugh at self-care memes, and not because they're funny, but because you wonder how in the world you could have the time, energy, or money to take care of yourself. Your relationships are suffering, your health is suffering, and sometimes you feel resentful about your reality. You are a parent with a special needs child and these feelings are NORMAL. Even though Anni passed away last year (2022), I will always consider myself a special needs parent.
