I have a long history of binge eating: binging after school as a kid, binging over family tension, nighttime binging, binging to numb fear, and binge eating when my life was no longer working. I can think of few things more demoralizing than going to the grocery store in the middle of the night to buy cookies, ice cream and chips. Yet I did so, time and time again.
