(Foto: privat) Mein aktueller Gast DoP Johannes Louis berichtet von seiner Bildgestaltung des Kinofilms „Das Leben der Wünsche“! Zusammen mit Regisseur Erik Schmitt ersann er hochspannende In-Camera-Lösungen für das visuelle Erzählen der ungewöhnlichen Romanverfilmung. Die Stadt vor dem Panoramafenster im Chef-Büro wirkt, wie aus einem frühen Coen-Brüder-Film. Tatsächlich schwebte Regisseur Erik Schmitt etwas vor, was wirke als hätten „Frankfurt und New York ein Kind bekommen“. Diese Mischung aus merkwürdig und vertraut gilt für viele Szenen und Momente in „Das Leben der Wünsche“. Das hat einerseits mit der eigenwilligen Erzählweise der Romanvorlage von Thomas Glavinic zu tun. Andererseits mit der Tatsache, dass das Kreativduo Erik Schmmitt und DoP Johannes Louis den Film zusammen umsetzten. Liebe zu haptischen Effekten Zum Projekt kamen Schmitt und Louis über Produzent und Hauptdarsteller Matthias Schweighöfer. Der hatte vor einigen Jahren die Rechte am Buch erstanden. Als er das Langefilmdebüt „Kleo“ von Erik Schmitt sah, sprach er diesen an, ob er sich vorstellen könne, „Das Leben der Wünsche“ als Co-Autor und Regisseur zu verantworten. DoP Louis verbindet mit seinem Regisseur die Liebe zu haptischen Effekten. Diese waren schon in vorigen Projekten ein häufiger Bestandteil ihrer visuellen Erzählung.
