EP5: Church Planting across the Nation

Pastor Jeff reflects on his journey of church planting and emphasizes the significance of the Word of God, citing a powerful metaphor: "the word of God is like a lion." He stresses that if we allow it to be unleashed, it will defend itself and speak truth into lives. Alongside sharing his personal experiences, Pastor Jeff introduces his mentor, Kent Shaw, who discusses the importance of conviction in ministry. Kent shares insights about his own journey, the challenges of church planting, and how God uses prayer and bold proclamation of the Gospel as foundational pillars in establishing a healthy church community.Throughout their conversation, both of them highlight the necessity of strong relationships among church leaders and the need for ongoing support within the church body. Kent particularly underscores the role of elders as crucial protectors and shepherds of the church, emphasizing the importance of prayer, love, and encouragement in ministry. As they recount their shared experiences, they both convey a deep conviction that commitment to prayer, sound teaching, evangelism, and worship are vital for church growth and spiritual health. Ultimately, they encourage listeners to prioritize the spiritual disciplines and to seek God earnestly, believing that such dedication will lead to transformation and God's blessings in their lives and communities.
