Many successful people tend to lose sight of their purpose and why they do what they want to do. In this episode, Rae Irelan talks about how she gets her clients as an intuitive business coach. Part One of ‘How Do I Get Paying Clients as an Intuitive Business Coach’   Before we answer the question of how to let's figure out why. Why do you want to have many high paying clients as an intuitive business coach? There's no point strategizing if you don't understand the motivation behind your actions. “Storytelling is where you let your work speak for itself to attract your dream clients.”  - Rae Irelan (18:59-19:17) Successful entrepreneurs will agree that you're going to come across obstacles. You will go through difficult times. The next thing you need to figure out after reaching your goal is how to maintain your success. Your inner motivation will serve as your inspiration to keep moving forward — no matter what trials you face in the business world. You're going to continue to build something sustainable and influential in the long run. I want to see the world change. I want to see a positive impact that happens in education systems for kids for our coming generations. I long to see them have access to arts and any creative outlets that they can develop throughout the school. I want them to have the opportunity to learn about different things like holistic health, transformation, and people skills for communication.  Since those things are my source of motivation, I want to work with leaders and business owners. So, they can start to create a world where they're raising kids in environments such as that. This might take you on a bit of a journey to go deeper and deeper into your why, and yet it is so powerful.   Many times, we coach our clients, but at the same time, we also have our coaches. So often we're not doing those specific things that we even share with our clients — people need to close that gap a little bit more. So that way, you can be in your highest integrity and congruent with your offerings. Start seeing yourself as an ideal client. Go through your processes so that way you can understand what works. What is excess? What is distracting? What doesn't work? Many times we all already have way more tools and strategies than what we need to be able to see change happen. Many coaches get caught up in piling the certifications they have. Stop with the certifications. You have enough. The more you cut away that excess fat, the better your offer is going to be, the more aligned it's going to be. As a result, you're going to make everyone's life easier. As a business coach, it's essential to continue to practice what you're preaching. Part Two of ‘How Do I Get Paying Clients as an Intuitive Business Coach’ While you're building your business, I want to share that you want to be open to your friends and family. You want to be open and receive feedback. And this can be a little bit challenging for some. Encourage your clients to give you positive or negative feedback. This will help you and your business grow.   “If you want to be a successful business coach, you must walk the talk.” – Rae Irelan (07:31-07:43)   You want to understand from their perspective what works and what doesn't work. Now a warning sign, do not take what everyone is telling you as the truth. This is to gather and accumulate different perspectives. Everyone will always have a different opinion about things. This is a way to develop the areas that might be a little bit weaker.  As well as build stronger relationships.    As you're building up these relationships, you're creating that trust with your clients. That's the right starting place to reflect on how you can build and create something. Something that is going to support them along their journey. You have to be continually evolving and growing. Be that eager student that is always curious about what other people are doing. Be curious about more information, more knowledge, and more education. That way, you can continue to pass that on to your clients. Here's the most exciting thing about having your own business. You're in charge of the rate at which you are growing and expanding. Then you get to bring others along for the ride as well. Another thing to keep in mind is to share instead of sell. Give that gift of education to those who are curious about you or your work. Share valuable knowledge that might open their minds or change their perspective. And here it's essential to use honesty and clarity so that way they can get to know you. They can build up that trust. Add in as much storytelling as you can. Share your personal story if you're starting. If you have stories from clients, then share how your work has changed their lives.
