Ep56 - Maximise Your Progress & Potential

from Nourish and Nurture: Creating Healthy Resilient People Before Crisis Hits · host Nourish and Nurture Sarah Lacey

We are all a bit rubbish at acknowledging our progress at times, and instead only focus on how far we’ve got left to go until we reach our goal. Costs of this include reduced motivation, increased self-criticism, overgeneralise and exaggerate about what you feel you HAVENT done, the reality of your progress to date will be skewed by and discounted by your negative thinking and perfectionistic ideals. In this episode I would like to invite you to think more productively about your efforts in your health and wellbeing journey, and how enjoyable your journey could be by focusing yes on where you want to be but then shifting focus back to where you are at and how far you have come. I will introduce the H.E.A.L. exercise a neuroscience technique I have used with clients over the past 7+ years to help you do just that. Any questions on how to apply this technique to any aspect of your life? Just DM me or you can email to [email protected].
