黃蝶翠谷位於美濃溪的源頭—雙溪谷地，因為日本人在雙溪地帶廣植鐵刀木，做為製作槍托及鐵道枕木的樹材，卻意外引來大量銀紋淡黃蝶產卵，因其幼蟲嚐食鐵刀木葉，加上氣候條件及蜜源植物等環境因素配合下，大批的黃蝶在此地產卵繁衍，造就同一時間大群黃蝶群舞的奇景，這也是此地命名的由來。 -- Hosting provided by SoundOn
