EP57: Place The Big Rocks First

from The Deep End with Eric Triplett

We've all heard of that famous demonstration where large rocks are placed in a jar and it looks full. Until smaller rocks are added, and then it looks full again, and so on. This jar demonstration is of course a metaphor for life. When you pay attention first to things like goal setting and personal development, the daily chores will be able to fit in around them.   Eric shares his insight on: How to identify the bigger and more important aspects of life, over the smaller tasks that don't mean as much. How the rock metaphor apples to life by showing you that when you prioritize the important things, everything else will fall into place. How you can apply this metaphor in a completely literal way when building ponds -the big rocks are statement pieces and should be placed first, with smaller spaces between. How a pond differs from the jar, because in landscaping, you can leave an empty space in between the other items.   Links to resources:   The Pond Digger   If you're looking for inspiration and tips for your pond, be sure to follow The Pond Digger's Instagram!   Check out The Pond Digger's products at http://helixpondfiltration.com/   And follow his adventures in the pond world at: Instagram @theponddigger Facebook @theponddigger   Please rate, review, and share the podcast if you get value out of it!
