He completed a Chronic Pain Fellowship at the University of California San Diego, which was recently rated the best chronic pain fellowship in America by the American Academy of Pain Medicine. Dr. Cohen often employs a team approach to helping patients overcome their pain issues, working alongside surgeons, neurologists, physiatrists, and psychologists. He considers himself part of the new age of interventional pain medicine and understands that many patients do not want to be on medications, especially opioids and finds ways to reduce their pain while helping them reduce the use of these medications.
