買い物依存症は、自分の中にある「満たされない何か」を埋めるための代償行為です。買い物依存症は、買い物によって癒されることはないでしょう。心の中にある大きな穴は、買い物では埋まらないから。一方で、幸せになる衝動買い、というのがあります。自分を幸せにしてくれる○○（服でも家でも花でも、何でも）と、自分の脳やら潜在意識に問いかけておけば、その○○を見た瞬間に「これだ！」とわかるので、衝動的な買い物になるわけです。
