With co-director Desh Amila and producer Aaron Louis, Jay has made a stunning and moving documentary about how two people who weren’t “supposed” to get along struck up a friendship and alliance despite their disagreements. We also get into some interesting discussions about reform, what “Muslim” means in the twenty-first century, and the various mindsets that determine how people approach sensitive topics.
