Ep89: Born to Run with Nick Lawrence

Nick Lawrence is a professional photographer, after years of editing at a surf magazine he decided to hone in on his true passion of portraits and was able to combine it with another great love - pick-up hoops. Nick has been working on a portrait essay of pick-up basketball games over the last 4-5 years that he will publish and exhibit in ‘Backyard at The Alex’ the recently renovated local watering hole in Alexandria, Sydney. The exhibition details are listed below.Nick connected initially with co-host Jacinta at one of their favourite ‘runs’, a regular pick-up hoops gathering held at the Central Coast, and more recently joined our Shooting The Breeze game during the FIBA Women's World Cup where some of our listeners and pod guests from far and wide connected, played and hung out afterwards at a pub lunch.
