Hannah Beswick was a wealthy 18th century English woman tormented by a very specific fear: the fear of being buried alive! Putting her faith in the family's physician, Dr. Charles White, Hannah made it clear in her will that she was not to be buried after death, but kept above ground an checked for signs of life.
