He started the #IAM911 movement in 2016... a hashtag that overnight became the third top trending on Twitter.  He began taking the calls as a 9-1-1 Dispatcher from 2005.  Years of being the calm voice at the other end of the line to those in distress.  His name is Ricardo Martinez II and he now provides a platform to other voices on that end of the line when we are reaching out in trouble.  These epics humans now share their stories via Ricardo's 'Within The Trenches' Podcast.  It's epic. It's no secret I'm a little intrigued by the lives our first responders live.  So when I get to unpack more conversations from new perspectives it really ticks the boxes over here in my little podcast factory.   I found Ricardo whilst 'researching' the topic recently and I couldn't wait to reach out and ask him to come speak with me.  He shares his own experience of becoming a 9-1-1 Dispatcher, a role that again most of us don't think much about but I tell you what, once I did it opened up my eyes to yet more respect for these legends that look after us. This won't be the only time we speak to Ricardo, I want to hear so many more of his stories and experiences... more lols and more of those infamous goosebumps I always carry on about!
