Asian bodies in these positions are rarely seen, and Adam wanted to step into that absence. He speaks about wanting to become a visible Asian adult performer, using his own body to respond to this kind of structural racial inequality.What struck me most was that Adam chose to share this decision with his parents and family. For him, it felt almost like coming out all over again.
