Eph 5:33-6:9 "It's Mutual!"

IT'S MUTUAL! This was Paul's BIG IDEA based on the revelation of the Great Mystery in Ephesians 5:32.In Ephesians 5:33-6:9 Paul presents Part 2 of his illustrative passage on How to be filled with the Spirit (5:18).In verses 19a and 21 he explained that believers teach and correct one another through their speaking and their submitting.Then starting with verse 22 all the way through 6:9 he illustrates how this is done.Christ is the supreme example. As Christ LOVED the church and GAVE Himself for the church (5:25b).Similarly, Christian wives and husbands live like Christ (see the link in Greek with the word "fear" in verse 21 and in 33.There is no hierarchy in the Christian couple living this way. And we would see that easily if we were not influenced by the mistranslation and misinterpretation of Genesis 3:16.
