Ephesians Chapters 1-3

In this episode, we begin the book of Ephesians by reading chapters 1 through 3, where Paul focuses on the spiritual blessings believers have in Christ and God’s plan to unite all people through Him. Chapter 1 highlights God’s grace, redemption, and the hope believers have through Jesus. Paul reminds readers that they have been chosen, forgiven, and sealed with the Holy Spirit. Chapter 2 explains that salvation is a gift of grace, not something earned through works. Paul also teaches that through Christ, barriers between people have been broken down, creating unity among believers. In chapter 3, Paul speaks about the mystery of the gospel being revealed to all nations and prays that believers would fully understand the depth of Christ’s love. Ephesians 1–3 reminds us of our identity in Christ, the power of God’s grace, and the unity and purpose believers share as part of God’s family.
