EPI 55: Dr. Ryan Greene On Inflammation, Blood Testing & The Most Important Things To Look At In Your Blood Test Results, Cholesterol Levels, Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT), And More!

from Peak Performance Life Podcast

When we talk of inflammatory diseases, we talk about ongoing inflammation where your body doesn't return to its original healthy state. There is a range of factors that can cause inflammation overload: lifestyles, such as smoking and diet, genetics, and pollutants in the environment. There are also autoimmune diseases, where your body's immune system turns on itself, which leads to chronic inflammation.   In this episode, Dr. Ryan Greene, a Physician and Managing Partner at Monarch Athletic Club, talks about inflammation, its causes, and how you can keep track by getting blood tests. He also shares the diseases caused by high cholesterol levels and his thoughts on hormone replacement.   Dr. Greene serves as principal medical advisor at Monarch Athletic Club in West Hollywood, the first private, sustainable health and wellness facility delivering traditional training services combined with physician-directed, evidence-based integrative medical intervention. The facility's key principles include training, recovery, nutrition, metabolic/genetic optimization, and mind-body enhancement.    Dr. Greene also serves as Medical Director of Reset by Therabody. Reset is the revolutionary brainchild of Dr. Jason Wersland, Founder of Theragun, as a space in which an individual may appreciate the many benefits of evidence-based and medically directed therapeutic recovery technologies to reset and recharge Mind, Body, and Soul.    Additionally, Dr. Greene currently serves as the corporate medical advisor for The Madera Group, where his focus is not only on offering concierge health and wellness consultations to The Madera Group and its employees but also as a medical consultant on menu development across the group's culinary concepts: Toca Madera and Tocaya Organica. Dr. Greene strives to ensure the nutritional soundness of every menu item at each of the group's venues.   He is currently a fellow of the world-renowned University of Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine under the direction of Dr. Andrew Weil, MD.   Connect with Dr. Ryan at: Website: https://monarchclubs.com/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/ryan-m-greene-do-ms/ IG: https://www.instagram.com/dr_greene_do/ Show notes: [1:33] Who is Dr. Ryan Greene, and what does he do?
