Epi. 69 - Giving ourselves wholeheartedly to Prayer!

Watch & Pray !   The LORD Jesus Christ our Master, KING and LORD, savior of our soul, declared, "Keep Watch and Pray, so that you ill not give in to temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak" - Mathew 26:41 NLT   The Apostles of Jesus Christ the LORD, affirms "...we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word" - Acts 6:4   In the manifold wisdom of GOD and Grace, we are warned to 'Be Watchful and Prayerful - Sober and Vigilant, lest we fall into the devils traps'  In the early days, the apostles of Christ, quickly noted this need, during their time, as foretold in Acts Chapter 6 1-4, we noted with such rapid growth in the numbers of believers, hard feelings and dissension were on the rise in the early Christian Church. So the Apostles put their heads together and realized that they needed to spend their time and effort teaching and preaching the WORD of GOD and giving themselves continually to Prayer instead of administering a food program or judging disputes. Sensing the urgency of the KINGDOM of GOD, they establish their highest priority and then delegated remaining important tasks to trusted people.  On this note, we need to cultivate an ongoing wholehearted commitment giving ourselves to prayer/intercession, if we are to obtain the blessings GOD has for us and in the lives of others.    Prayer Point !  Heavenly Father, please grant me a continual readiness and devotion to prayer in Jesus name. Father open my eyes and heart to understand the great privilege you have given me in allowing me free access into your Heavenly Kingdom Throne.  Please give me a heart that is hungry to spend time with you, and as I do prepare my mind and heart for the work you have ordained for me to do for your KINGDOM.
