In this first, bare bones intro episode, we take a quick look back through time at some of the US's biggest one time conspiracies that turned out to be coverups. This isn't the typical show format, but rather just an introduction to some topics I felt needed to be covered before jumping into the actual show. Many are discounted as "theories" all the way up until the moment that are proven to be facts. There has been a systemic and highly coordinated propaganda campaign— started by the CIA and reinforced through Project Mockingbird— to give the masses the impression that there is always only one unified narrative, and anything that falls outside of the official narrative is purely speculation by crazy "conspiracy theorists" and should be ignored. The truth is even the term "conspiracy theorist" was coined by the CIA in the wake of the Kennedy assassination in an effort to quiet voices skeptical of the official story, and to provide a simple ad hominem attack to dismiss other explainations without having to counter then with facts. The ultimate purpose of this podcast is to expose those very deception tactics, how they are deployed to silence dissenting voices, how to recognize them, and then apply that knowledge to narratives throughout our shared history to see which ones are conspiracies— and which ones are simply theories.
