Remember when Prince thought this year was gonna be a party, though? Well, for the most part, the artists in this compilation are the ones who didn't get invited to the funtime rager because: they were banned for being jerks, or hated people too much, or were gonna go but decided they'd rather brood sipping absinthe instead (we're looking at you Jeff Martin!).This is the moment in the compilation series when you realize that your parachute failed you - the ever faithful listener - and you begin your 10 year long descent toward the cold unforgiving end.The new attitude at Much Headquarters as the century drew to a close: cynical, entitled, whiny and 99% Male.
