In this episode of The Successful Side Gig I discuss why new business owners need to get feedback early on and often. We have been trained our entire lives to act on feedback so why we wouldn't seek it out when it comes to our businesses, baffles me! Some businesses  are made and broken because of feedback based websites and apps such as Yelp or Google Maps. There are many different ways to get feedback from potential clients and customers and I break down a couple of my favorite ways.

Key Lessons and take aways from this weeks episode:

-You don't have to receive specific feedback on your product or service in order to implement. Look up a competitor and check out negative reviews they have received and see if you can deliver on others feedback.

-Master the FREEBIE. If Costco can make me buy a dozen muffins because of a sample why don't small businesses give out freebies or deeply discounted products as well in order to iterate and change the product before a massive product launch.

-You can solicit feedback through a survey. For ADH Creative Solutions photography sessions I always send a follow up email to clients asking them what they enjoyed and if I could improve anything. I will sometimes even take the positive feedback and spin it into a great testimonial for my website.

Quotes:

"If you build it, they will come. IS NOT TRUE!"

"No matter what seeds you plant, if it is the middle of winter, you won't get any crops"
