I cannot tell you how many hours I watched Sex and the City analyzing the foursome's every move to understand how relationships work. Did you spend hours watching it too? I was so excited to have a chance to interview the creator of Sex and the City Candace Bushnell for my Inaugural Podcast!  It felt like such a huge gift learning from the woman who taught a generation about dating to hear her take on divorce.  A critically acclaimed author, journalist, and television producer, Candace Bushnell shares her candid wisdom she gained from her divorce in our discussion on the Divorce Doctor. As I'm sure all of us know, or at least find out at some point in our lives, relationships can be draining. Sometimes you can find yourself putting so much energy and effort into someone who may not end up being worth it in the long run. For those of us who've experienced this, it can be one of the most exhausting endeavours we could ever allow ourselves to bother with. Some may say the effort's worth it, some may disagree. My recent guest of the Divorce Doctor Podcast, Candace Bushnell, argues for the latter. Candace is the international best-selling author of 10 books, including Is There Still Sex in the City?, Sex in the City, and Summer and the City. Sex in the City, published in 1996 was the basis for the HBO hit series, and two subsequent blockbuster movies. I loved having Candace on the how to share her insights about the contract of marriage. We discuss the necessity of thinking long and hard before putting so much of your energy into a man, dealing with your spouse's emotional immaturity, and how you can take your divorce as an opportunity to find your voice.
