Episode 016: Interview with Lisa Hayes-Miney pt 1

In Part 1 of our interview Robin discusses: I’ve known Lisa Hayes-Miney for over 20 years. I’m not sure how I found her page, WV Cottages, but I reached out to her for advertising. I was building a website for my husband’s band, Rockin Horse, and wanted to promote them with an advertisement. Lisa knew full well that a Southern Rock band from West Virginia wasn’t a cottage industry, but she allowed limited promotion. Things changed. We changed with them. But Lisa and I have remained in contact since at least 1999.    She is probably the most diverse, and accomplished woman I know. She imagined, created, published, and distributed the most popular free magazine focusing on the local culture and activities for ten years. Printing 18k copies for distribution within 18  WV counties, 100 mailed subscriptions in 16 different states, with less than 1% not distributed, all while staying true to her calling as an author.
