Episode 03: Says Who with Dr Sabrina Fabi

Kaeli recently had the opportunity to get vulnerable with one of this industry's thought leaders, Dr. Sabrina Fabi. She is a board-certified dermatologist who practices out of the world-renowned Cosmetic Laser Dermatology practice in San Diego. You may recognize her as the medical news correspondent for Fox News as well as a staple on the talk show The Gist. However, she is so much more than what we get to see on TV.  Dr. Fabi begins by telling us about herself and her background, including how her two parents immigrated to the USA from Ecuador. They were very entrepreneurial, which is a trait that was passed down to Sabrina and her siblings. We hear about how Dr. Fabi decided that she wanted to be a dermatologist very early in her life but was told by many people that she wouldn't be successful. Having dealt with many naysayers on her journey, Dr. Fabi shares some of these interactions and offers up advice on how to power through their negative words. You may have to sacrifice or take risks in life, but you can have it all. After, Dr. Fabi gives her opinion on being a female in her field. Dr. Fabi discusses her mentors before explaining that, to her, the Fierce Factor means being comfortable in the uncomfortable. She says that it's important to realize when you're in that space, a breakthrough is about to happen. Even if you don't get the outcome that you want, there's going to be some growth that comes out of it.
