Episode 03 - The 21st Century Skills in Teacher Education

The third edition of the EdTechCOE webinar series took place on Thursday 27th of May with Mr Olalekan Adeeko of Tedprime Hub, a Microsoft Innovative Educator and a graduate of Computer Science Education from TASUED. The topic of the webinar, "The 21st Century skills in Teacher Education" was well addressed with insights into how the skills could be learnt and applied, even when they are not yet included in the current Teacher Education curriculum. Mr Adeeko highlighted and explained the 6 areas of competencies in the 21st Century skills required for Teachers. This shows an in-depth and practical knowledge in these areas that we need to share with our pre-service and in-service Teachers as well as the Teacher Educators themselves. It is highly important that the new Teacher Education Curriculum being developed embed all these skills seamlessly for practical application across all subjects as suggested by Mr Adeeko.
