Seems like an easy thing but we talk about how this really works. The market has changed #2- Copying your neighbor's sale. Your house can be worth more or less. We dive into this mistake #3- Hiring the cheaper agent. There are often lower commissions for both sides and the buyer's agents may not show your home. Make sure you know what the commission is for both sides. If they are overly pushy to get you to sign that should be a red flag. Take the time to review. Also, use the Utah State forms whenever possible #4- Do your research on the agent that you are hiring. Be sure to review the contract and even ask for the night to review it before signing. Hire a professional full-time agent. Hire the person and check them out. Make sure they are licensed. #5- Posting your home for sale by owner on Facebook or other social sites.
