Poet, songwriter, author and educator Regie Gibson has performed and lectured at schools, universities and theaters nationally and internationally. His work has appeared in the New Line Cinema film Love Jones, based largely on events in his life. Regie works with world music band Atlas Soul, he is a former National Poetry Slam Individual Champion, has been regularly featured on N. P. R. and has appeared on HBO’s Def Poetry Jam. He currently teaches and inspires through his unique project - Shakespeare to Hip-Hop.
