I know, I know, but I'm saying, I ain't playing for real ladies at hands, go up and they say, Oh, I don't know.
Shorty thought you'd buy some little taller. I'm gonna have to check you later on your dip. Holla. Hey, not you, shit, rap.
Hey, love, not you, shit, rap. Hey, love, oh, shit, rap. Hey, love, fuck, cuz I'm gonna be in the butt. Let's go cut, shit, I'm on my jewelry for hours.
Chocolate, but I guess I'll act when she asks if it's my friend that is. And she met this one, don't we get some CBS? Can't she see that I'm the best? I get my nerf up and I call her.
She said while I was on the floor to hook up with this wall, oh, yes. Well, he's a writer and he's fresh, tireder than your friend. My ex-boyfriend seems like he's like, so I decide I won't embody even though I know she likes me. I keep hanging around and I still feed the hand that bites me.
Don't like me, now I'm gonna cheat the word of myself. I'll always reveal what I'm feeling about your feminine wealth and not wait again. Yeah, I'll play if they want to. Not you, shit, rap.
Hey, love, oh, not you, shit, rap. Hey, love, oh, shit, not you, shit, rap. Cookbook and Uno Moss of LA Symphony with Shipwreck right here on The Sin Cat. Of course, Cookbook and Uno Moss along with the whole LA simp crew are gonna be down at Joshua Fest 2006.
And this is our Joshua Fest 2006 preview edition of The Sin Cat. So you know, we're mixing things up, we're not just playing all hip hop today, we're getting some rockin' rollin' there. And along with being the Joshua Fest preview, we want to let you know that we're not just about hip hop here. We're about all great music, so we're gonna get some rockin' rollin'.
Right now, we've got more of that rockin' roll. This is the quick and the dead with, by all means. Right now, I'm gonna toss the mic over to my boy, Man of War. He's sitting down with Aaron from Joshua Fest.
He's gonna give you the 411. Everyone, ladies and gentlemen, everyone that's tuning in to The Sin Cat. We have right now, In The Booth, Live and Direct, my friend. And if you could just introduce your name and where you're from and all that good stuff, that'd be cool.
My name is Aaron D'Ole, I'm with Joshua Fest. I'm technically now I'm from Escondillo or San Diego. Yeah, San Diego. I just moved here.
I was born here, so I guess I can actually say I was from here, but I lived up in Northern California for most time. Wow, that's quite a bit of your born here. Yeah, that's why I can eat like mad. Dude, I'm telling you, right?
Alright, getting back to the Joshua Fest, can you tell us a little bit about the festival and how many people you guys started with, how it's grown, the vision, and just the blessings, I mean just the whole 90. Well, we started our first year with 2003, and we had about 40 bands come out, mainly kind of indie rock bands, and a few headliners, like Audio Dunland and Superchick, and a few bands like that, Manowar. Oh, you were there, huh? So you and I were there.
Yes. So, it was like most festivals were first year, it was a slow start, it was good times though, we had fun. The scenery up there is beautiful, and it's just a great place to get away and enjoy a festival of that sort, camping and rock music and all over the board. And there we, I think everyone that came this first year told a friend and brought a friend the second year, because we almost doubled, if not tripled, our numbers from 2003 to 2004.
And in 2004, we had, I don't know, we'd upped in about 10 more bands, so about 50 bands, and a few more well-known bands like Cutless, Guffin, Static, Manowar. Yeah, a few syntax bands that came through the year in a row. So anyway, went from that to our 2005, which we doubled from 2004 in our numbers, and we ended up having almost 70 bands that year, including Manowar. Every year, we kind of had a big syntax party.
I can remember the first year that I went, I had just came back from Ecuador. At that time, I was doing full-time music, ministry, and I had just got back that night, and then that night drove out with Red Cloud, and it was Melichai Perez. And we drove, absent mind, we drove all the way up there, and we ended up getting up there like at 3 in the morning, 2 in the morning. And it was pretty cool though, because we heard music, most people were sleeping, but it was like some trance DJ, and there was a few people in there, and it was like a big red barn.
And it was just a cool atmosphere, man, and I thought it was pretty fresh. I know us as artists and as a label, we love it. Everyone's real cool, and we watched it growing like we said. It's been real cool.
Thanks, man. That's kind of one of the purposes behind the event, but one of the ideas was atmosphere. We didn't want some big corporate event that was together for the sake of committing it together. We wanted an event that could create an atmosphere that people could feel safe in, that people could enjoy, that people could make a vacation out of it.
It wasn't something that the kids wanted to do, and the parents were like, oh, whatever. And it wasn't the same time, something so corporate, trying to reach everyone that just kind of lost everyone. It was just, we thought the best way to do it was with atmosphere. I think we've kind of created a nice community up there within those gates of the festival grounds.
You know, it's a real blast, so if you haven't been, I'm speaking to the people out there now. If you guys haven't been to the Joshua Fest, if you live anywhere near California, it doesn't matter. Man, you guys definitely got to come out. Where can they go to get some tickets, get some early registration, take care of all the camping stuff.
We're going to go for this. The best and easiest place to get tickets from is www.joshworths.com. There you can get tickets, you can get your group rates, you can get RV passes, which are almost sold out. So if you're loving it and bringing it up in RV, get those now because we'll be out of those in a few weeks.
Camping, everything's online at Joshua Fest.com. So that's the first and best place to go for tickets and such like that. Cool. Everybody, so hurry up, man.
If you don't got your tickets, you need to hurry up. I'm pretty sure we'll have a syntax area where we'll all be congregating and fellow shipping. Syntax is actually going to be having in the evening after all our main stages are shut down. We're going to have a syntax party on our indoor stage.
Cool. So that's what it's going to be like. If you're a syntax fan and you missed this, then shame. Shame.
Everyone, thanks again for coming in. I appreciate your time. Thanks, man. Bye, peace.
So remember, you want to go to Joshua Fest, check out Joshua Fest.com, or just go to thescincast.com. We're going to have a link right there. Get you all the info. Get your tickets.
Get you all set. Right now, this is Stacey Clark with Unusual. Thanks for watching.
