Episode 040 - Turbo Kid
from THE MILKSHAKE BOOM
This week THE MILKSHAKE BOOM grab our gnome sticks, hop on our BMX bikes and take a ride to the 1980's nostalgia fueled post-apocalyptic gorey wasteland that is 'Turbo Kid'! Set in an alternate 1997, this 2015 Canadian/New Zealand coproduction was directed by François Simard, Anouk Whissell, and Yoann-Karl Whissell and stars Munro Chambers, Laurence Leboeuf, and Michael Ironside! Before we jump into our audience selection, we briefly discuss 1980's nostalgia films like 'Kung Fury' and then delve deeply into our most ideal apocalypse scenerios to live through! And, in a TMB first, we are joined by a live studio audience! Unfortunately, said audience quickly turns on Jose and his bizarrely detailed philosophy on zombies!
