"Scream" (2022) and "The Batman" (2022) each relaunched long-running series by new writers and directors. In addition to a common obsession of "Scream," Ryan and podcast contributor Amar Karim also share a bedrock of love for the Batman films. Ryan and Amar evaluate each era of the Batman films: Burton, Schumacher, Nolan, Snyder, and Reeves. Then, they conclude the conversation by comparing the franchises: Scream v. Batman. They find many similarities in narrative and story arcs, and specifically draw analogy between Sidney Prescott and Bruce Wayne as characters and the emotional journeys they endure.
