 Episode 05 Are Mysteries the #1 YA genre? Fifth Episode: Marisa and Mary return this time to talk about teen graphic novels, mysteries, and fantasy. A fresh fun twist on a favorite comic character.  For her second book, Mary delved into the world of MYSTERY with Maureen Johnson's Truly Devious, the first in a trilogy.  Marisa talked about The Truth As Told By Mason Buttle by Leslie Connor, a realistic mystery with a main character, Mason, whose brain just doesn't work like everyone else's. People look at him and treat him differently since the accident 15 months ago...but all he wants is a friend.  Marisa's second book dove into the richly descriptive fantasy world of Crown Coral and Pearl by Mara Rutherford.
