Episode 056 - Sex, Disability and The Law

from Disability After Dark

In this episode, I take a look at sex, disability and the law. We talk briefly about The Ugly Laws, Eugenics, and discuss two cases that examine consent, sex, disability and the law. Through these cases I explore how the courts and our legal systems have a lot of work to do in understanding disability, and suggest perhaps that the courts would rather rely on ableist prejudices than looking at things further.
