Episode 058: "Compliments... Give Them"

I'm going to share with you one of my biggest weaknesses. I am a terrible compliment giver and receiver. The reason I have such a tough time receiving compliments is that when I accomplish something, I expect that I was going to accomplish it. This makes me downplay my achievement.  Making me think it wasn't that difficult or important. Which causes me to downplay it. On the opposite side, I have trouble giving compliments because I get so wrapped up in what I'm doing, that I don't come up for air long enough to see what else is going on. In my opinion, that makes me pretty selfish. We all want to feel like we belong, are loved, and appreciated. Yet it is difficult for some of us to express to others, and sometimes even ourselves, these things. So if you do 1 thing today... Reach out to someone and thank them, compliment them, or let them know they are appreciated. It will go a long way.
