Episode 06: Never Underestimate the Value of a Smile

Susan grew up in a dental family, where she watched her father practice for 50 years near their home in Connecticut. He shared his passion for dentistry along with his belief that a healthy mouth and confident smile could enhance one's quality of life. Susan earned her Associates in dental hygiene as well as a Bachelor's degree in Business Finance from Boston University. She practiced hygiene for over 15 years, while her brothers became a prosthodontist and general dentist still practicing today. For the past eight years, Susan has served as a Business Management Coach for organizations including the Productive Dentist Academy and individual dentists throughout the country. As a coach she helps doctors and teams make the necessary changes to reach personal and professional goals. She takes pride in her diagnostic skills in assessing a practice, and provides detailed feedback and direction to clients. Susan believes strongly in training team members to become a patient's advocate, and to help patients reach case agreement by offering treatment plans that fit their schedule and budget. She works with all staff on communicating a range of options and the benefits that great dentistry can provide. Susan enjoys time with family and friends, biking, golf, yoga, and days at the beach. As she often tells her clients, never underestimate the value of a smile.
