Episode 064: Super Lap Battle 2022 Recap

When we left you at the end of episode 63 of the podcast, we were about to head out to Super Lap Battle at Circuit of the Americas. Now, for Episode 64 of the Flatirons Syndicate Motorsports Podcast, we are back, and we are here to talk about everything that happened at Super Lap Battle. Ryan from DSX Motorsports took his Super Taikyu car out and put down some great laps this weekend. Keith from 969 Performance had just rebuilt his engine, and he came out to help Ryan this weekend, and he ended up helping us out as well. For us, our weekend didn't exactly go as planned. The Flatirons Tuning race car overheated the first time on track in testing on Friday, and we were fighting with it for the whole rest of the weekend. We ran into some weird issues, and we did our best to get the car working again, but we weren't able to get even a single hot lap in all weekend. Even though we didn't have the race we were hoping for, this event was amazing. Tons of records fell, and this Super Lap Battle was the biggest one yet.  There were big fields in all of the classes with lots of fast cars. There were a lot of fast cars from Colorado, and 11 Subaru's running in total as well.
