Episode 08 - Seeing Double; Parallels
from Cards on Blast
Episode 8 – “Seeing Double? Trading Card Parallels” Are you seeing double—or just chasing that elusive gold refractor? In this episode of Cards On Blast, JT and The Bird dive deep into the colorful world of trading card parallels: what they are, why they exist, and which ones are truly worth chasing. From the early days of gold foil to today’s rainbow of numbered, refracted, and photo-varied madness, we break down how parallels have become one of the hobby’s biggest obsessions. We also open a fresh hockey pack during Crack That Pack, tackle the latest buzz in the hobby—including a Pope Leo XIV card breaking Topps records and a slick Jimi Hendrix collection on the way—and bring the heat with our favorite segments: What You Got In The Stack and Card Pull of the Week. Plus—stick around for the debut of our wild new segment: “Where The F* Did You Find That?”** Trust us, it’s a surprise you don’t want to miss.
