A team of students at the ASU Luminosity Lab was awarded funding from NASA to develop a system for exploration of the permanently shadowed regions of the lunar poles. Through this project titled VELOS (Variable Exploratory Lunar Observation System) the team designed, built, and conducted proof-of-concept testing to successfully validate operation of their prototype system.
