Welcome to episode 9 of the Sincast IMKD back awake from my turkey-induced coma from Thanksgiving Sorry about the delay woke up in the days from all the turkey and the stuffing and the cranberry sauce and all the other good stuff Was eating realize whoa whoa whoa, it's December and I forgot to get the November podcast out So here is episode 9 of the Sincast and we got a great great show lined up for you We got a lot of great mix tapes up from a bunch of the syntax artist. We got new stuff from Red Cloud It's gonna be off his new album We're gonna give you a remix track before the album comes out and releases the original track We got soul pea, we got rubber band, we got the much-loved family We got Tony in studio and we'll be chatting with him Plus we got some music from him talking about what he's been up to his latest project and what he's got planned for the future A lot of great stuff. Right now we're gonna start it off with some of that mix tape stuff This is Sam Hart with Green, Blue, Yellow, off of the mix tapestry Right, we are here in studio with Tony on the Sincast. Tony, how you doing?

Very well, I'm actually just really excited today. It seems like a beautiful day for November to sing like summertime, so I'm really excited Yeah, definitely. You got to love San Diego and the crazy weather we get where it's overcast and rainy and then the next day it's summer And they're both happening in November and you're like, huh? Exactly.

So now I'm gonna cut straight to the chase. We got the new album, Oak Park 9-2-1-0-6 Yes, now tell me a little bit about this because it got released last year, but now it's being re-released and kind of expanded What's the story of Oak Park? Well, the original Oak Park came out, actually I did this record about three years ago Around 2003 and I finally released it December 23rd I think of last year and now, you know, going into the new year we have 9-2-1-0-6 9-2-1-0-5 is my original zip code from where I grew up in Oak Park here in California, San Diego And not just apart from college growth and just talked about growing up in San Diego and where it came from and all of those things And then I decided to re-release it and put some brand new songs in there making a commercial release and we merged with Cintax and the rest is history It's just it's just a really good piece that a lot of people are connecting with and I'm just surprised that the response really I am. It's amazing right now There's a special Japan only release.

Yes. Now. What is it? What are the Japan audience getting that we aren't?

The Japan audiences are getting four songs that don't appear on the domestic release. The sequence of the album is completely different The artwork is completely different. So it's definitely collector's item So they don't only need to get 9-2-1-0-5. They need to get 9-2-1-0-6 and need to get 9-2-1-0-6 Japanese version Which I also have an O2 album that was done in Japan as well.

That was an import I haven't even got that one of those two. It's one of Amazon I can't even afford my own album, but make sure you get that the Japanese version There's a song called up HUP, which is a really big hit on my space that everybody was asking where it was at It's on the Japanese version featuring another rapper named Omega Who did a lot of work on the ink remixes that is also available at quality junk. So that's what's going on One of the things I saw in your Myspace page, you're very much artist rights. Mm-hmm.

Tell me a little bit about that Well, it's not so much a misogynistic whining artist I guess I am more so a philanthropist when it comes down to An activist when it comes down to the fair treating of the artists Retreated like slaves signed to several albums making minimal money unless we travel in some merchandise on the road So I'm just trying to lobby for the unsung heroes those who are already in contracts They can't get out of and also for those who are about to get into the music industry to try to get them to become entrepreneurs versus the slaves And the whole campaign right now is where it's toning. Everybody wants to know where I'm at. They can't find me I'm kind of underground and that's what I'm doing. I'm out trying to Not just be an artist that sells records, but go from a slave to multimedia mogul and along with syntax and quality junk and Newro ink.

That's what we're doing internationally right now is putting the power of the industry back into the hands of the artists that are painting this work Not getting any credit for what they're creating and then they don't own the masters of what they create How can someone own what they didn't create? So that's pretty much what I'd represent now. All right. Well, we look forward to hearing much much more from you Yes, mobile emerges.

Yes, and everybody go pick up Oak Park 9-2-1-0-6 Yeah, you can also go on to www.yotoney.com or you can check out the Myspacebase Myspace.com slash Tony world and we got everything there linked onto the quality junk.com store So buy up have fun. All right. Thank you Right now, this is motion plus with brass knuckle rap. It's off of the fun with motion plus mixtape available on quality junk.com right now So from God who loves have you filthy being on this planet?

That's what's up. How the moves are made with fear was gone. You better act now You may not be here long if it avenge you good. I mean you're guilty I don't care about your hood.

I ain't for the kids these cracks landed drug dealing Judas is a church as well But we don't know who it is, but the word now gives me the right to openly review the body living in life So write that down show who loves that static appointment down my motion plus It's the bottom That was dirt giving us tough love off the upset or mix tape We got a little double mix tape set right there We had the motion plus before it and of course dirt both of those mix tapes are available on quality junk.com as I speak So be sure to pick up both those mix tapes and be sure to put the same heart mix tapestry in your carton Save up the money pick it up the day after Christmas or you know take back that ugly sweater that your great Ant got you refund that and then by the fan market cap it's a great little shindig right there right now Got a special track for you. This is a remix of a song You actually haven't heard the original makeup. It's red cloud featuring pigeon John doing big city the remix by my man King knew them I Gosh That was the much love family with burn off of their neck now a little compilation from the much love family speaking of We're working on 9 hours volume 3 it's supposed to come out this spring you want to be part of that We're looking for exclusive tracks that won't be released anywhere else that haven't already been released So one exclusive tracks one studio quality and you can send them in to submit at syntax record calm Want to just you know if you're if you got skills and no one's heard of you This is a great chance to get your name out there if you're already a signed artist And you want to have a little fun do something different that you don't normally do on your regular projects submit those tracks over to us Submit at syntax records calm now We need those to be studio quality songs and we need them to be an mp3 form attached to the email Don't send us links to your Myspace or something like that Send the mp3 attached in your email submit at syntax records calm for your chance to get on night hours volume 3 right now We got sold here this is So That's gonna wrap things up for us here on the syncast I was kd I'll be back in a few weeks with our Christmas edition of the Syncast we'll have our tree up our lights on.
