Episode 1.6: YEAH! WOO!

from Sample Excavator · host Angelo Robledo

For the first time I am tackling a song in the top 10 most sampled of all time list. In fact this week's sample has been used in 2340 other songs in the last decade, making it the third most sampled song of all time. It has been used in 60+ songs in 2019 alone, making it one of the most enduring samples in history. I can't go through all 2300+ uses but I try to break down the most notable and most obscure uses in order to give a complete overview of this legendary sample. Playlists with all the songs from this week's episode can be found on Apple Music and Spotify under 'Sample Excavator Episode 1.6' Follow me on Twitter and Instagram @idigit1st  Follow the show on Twitter and Instagram @SampleExcavator  Email the show [email protected]  Produced by Guy Tannenbaum  Theme song by David Ramos   Rob Base interview for Rolling Stone and NPRBoys II Men interviewNext week we look at a much less common, but arguably more recognizable sample as we approach the two-part finale to this inaugural season of Sample Excavator  This show is part of Pantheon Podcasts.
