Episode 1: Babur’s Origins & The Birth of An Empire

In the first episode of The Gunpowder Empire, Rayyan Hassan will be discussing the early origins of the first Mughal leader Babur, and his origins dating back to Genghis Khan and Timur. He then explores his initial conquest into India, where he forgets allies and foes, as well as fighting battles to keep his lands, helping to increase his power and consolidating Mughal presence for centuries to come, Finally, he looks at Babur's effect on India in the present world today.
