Episode 1 – Brotal Kombat
from The Reel Bromance Podcast
Finish him… or at least score him on the Bro-ometer. The Reel Bromance Podcast kicks off its debut video episode by stepping into the arena with Mortal Kombat (1995) — the original, techno-fueled video game movie that left a permanent mark on 90s kids everywhere. Andrew and Matt revisit the island tournament that decided the fate of Earthrealm, breaking down the iconic soundtrack, memorable fights, questionable acting choices, and why this movie somehow works when so many video game adaptations didn’t. From Johnny Cage’s nut shots to Goro’s four-armed intimidation tactics, nothing is off-limits. Does Mortal Kombat deliver a flawless victory, or is it a cinematic fatality? There’s only one way to find out… TEST YOUR MIGHT.
