Episode 1: Dan Haggis & Tord Knudsen – Sunship Balloon, The Wombats

For more than 20 years now, Dan Haggis & Tord Knudsen have made up two thirds of English outfit The Wombats. Across five albums, numerous singles, and a near-constant touring schedule, the group have curated a reputation within the music world as reliable artists from which you'll never hear a bad song. In 2019, the pair decided to form Sunship Balloon, a new outlet in which they could share their musical talents, and place some of the ideas that didn't quite fit in with their more well-known group. After the release of debut album Everywhen in 2020, Dan and Tord focused back onto The Wombats before releasing their latest record, Real Humans, earlier this year. For the first episode of Trusty Chords, Dan and Tord were kind enough to spend an hour of their mornings discussing the origins of The Wombats, the formation of Sunship Balloon, and much more in between.
