Two people are all that remain of the once mighty occult strike force after a surprise attack by a cabal of cultists. Now Sophia Weil finds herself promoted from accountant to head of the CREDE Agency. Her biggest concern, however, is not the army of blood-crazed dark wizards out to kill her, but how she’s going to rein in Simon Blake: a peerless Eldritch slayer who’d much rather use his talents to swindle demons and moon the servitors of the Court of Azathoth than accomplish anything useful. Simon and Sophia must learn to work together before the avatars of the apocalypse can bring their plans to fruition. The first order of business: figuring out what the hell happened to the rest of the agency.
