Years of Service: 1980-2012Sam, as her friends call her, began her career in law enforcement in 1980 and served until she retired in 2012. Sam began her career with the Kern County Sheriff’s Office in California before transferring to the California Highway Patrol. Eventually, she moved to Idaho where she began working as an officer with the Buhl Police Department. She would later work for the Jerome County Sheriff’s Office, Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Office, and Gooding County Sheriff’s Office. During that time she worked as a deputy, sergeant, lieutenant, chief deputy, and detective.
