Episode 1: Rosie Stancer

from Meet our Explorers · host SES

Rosie Stancer is one of Britain's most formidable polar explorers - a woman who has spent decades pushing the boundaries of human endurance in some of the most hostile environments on Earth. From the All-Women North Pole Relay and the Millennium Women's South Pole Expedition, to solo speed records at both poles, Rosie has consistently redefined what is possible. Her expeditions span the globe: the frozen expanse of Lake Baikal, the remote sea ice of Broughton Island, the shifting sands of the Wahiba Desert, and the newly formed Aral Kum – one of the youngest deserts in the world. We are extremely proud to have Rosie as Chair of our Advisory Board.   In this episode, Rosie joins SES Chair Peter Felix for a conversation about the journeys, the setbacks, and the singular mindset that drives an explorer to keep going - long after most would turn back.
