We can’t let society and cultural norms get in the way of really doing what is best for our own children. Trust your gut! She goes on to explain that it is as simple as setting goals (just like you would for any other milestone you want to reach in your life) and creating a plan of the core values you want to pass down to your child like kindness, integrity, valuing education, other people and family. The plan can be fine-tuned and course corrections will occur…  just having a direction to head in as well as appropriate expectations of yourself and your child(ren) will help you track progress and recognize where those adjustments can be made. DJ Stutz, is an Early Childhood Specialist with more than 20 years of teaching experience. She has an immense love for children with 5 of her own, 12 grandchildren and 70 nieces and nephews. She fully understands the challenges and concerns that come with parenting. She offers parenting coaching in group or one-on-one sessions to support parents in their most important job.
